# typing.works

> Typing practice you start instantly: open the page and type. No sign-up, no ads. Scoring understands Korean (Hangul) composition, so a half-built syllable is never counted as a typo. Korean and English sentences (plus Italian, Portuguese, Hungarian and French), whole poems and stories as one piece, and detailed results. A terminal edition runs the same scoring on macOS, Linux and Windows.

typing.works(타이핑웍스)는 열면 바로 치는 타자연습입니다. 가입·광고가 없고, 한글 조합 중인 글자를 오타로 세지 않는 판정으로 한국어·영어 문장과 시·소설 한 편을 칩니다. 친 뒤에는 속도·정확도·손가락별·키별 기록을 자세히 봅니다. 같은 판정의 터미널판이 있고, 터미널판을 깔면 Claude Code 안에서도(Claude 가 일하는 동안 프롬프트 위에서) 칩니다.

## Key facts

- Free to use; no account needed. Sign-in is optional: it carries records and stats across devices and unlocks Ranked mode and sentence search.
- Hangul-aware scoring: in-progress IME composition is not a typo; comparison is at the jamo level.
- Honest speed: only correctly typed characters count. WPM uses the standard 5-keystroke word; characters per minute (타/분) is shown alongside.
- Modes: short sentences, pangrams, long-form works (37 Korean, 7 English, 5 French; the Korean ones include 7 warm-up drills called "타자 하농").
- Content (October 2026): Korean short sentences 1,639; English 1,073; Italian 170; Portuguese 100; Hungarian 100; French 30; pangrams 28 Korean and 11 English.
- Results: WPM, characters per minute, accuracy, consistency, replay, rhythm graph, per-finger averages, key heatmap, share image.
- Options: punctuation skip, two display modes, 28 color palettes, key sounds.
- Practice without signing in needs no server, so it keeps working even when the server is down.
